Mecklenburg County Register Of Deeds Remote Access Site
Welcome to the new site designed to provide access to historical land record indexing data from 1763-1990 and the images related to that data. We hope that you find the site easier to use and more intuitive to first time users. Detailed instructions can be found by clicking this link.
The site will have two searching systems. The first, called “Imaged Index” will allow users to search the historical land record index books. The instruction link above will explain how to use this portion of the system. The second system, called “Imaging Only” simply allows the user that already knows the historical book and page number to type that book and page number in and see the image. For certain year ranges, the images are individual pages, no matter how many pages the initial instrument included. For other time periods, the entire instrument is one multi-page image. In order to print, use the print mechanism provided in your pdf viewer. The site will have the following book types:

- Deed books 1-6219 (with 33 book numbers not used)
- Old deed books 1-26
- Map books 3-24, 230, 332, 1166 and two books called Beers and Butler plat books. To access Beers (use book 000A) and Butler (use book 000B).
- Condo books 1-470
- Satisfaction books 1-495
